Goofy’s Kitchen HALLOWEEN 🎃

Goofy’s Kitchen HALLOWEEN 🎃

Bri Petrarca | @darlingdreamco

New to the Disneyland Resort this year, Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel received a Halloween layover from September 21st-October 31st!

This buffet-style character dining experience offers breakfast, brunch, and dinner options. You get a special photo op with Goofy inside of his kitchen upon arrival, and table visits from some other friendly faces! During our dining experience, we got to hang with Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale! The theming is so cute, whether you visit during Halloween or during an off-season. The Halloween theme was new this year, and they went above and beyond! The decorations are adorable, the characters look amazing in their Halloween costumes, and the spooktacular music is a fabulous touch.

Reservations are highly recommended (basically required) and can be made on the Disneyland app up to 60 days prior to your desired dining date. They can fill up rather quickly, so if you ever have trouble finding a reservation for the day you are looking for, remember to periodically check for reservations during the weeks leading up to your trip. You can also use third party notification systems to help score that reservation!

We visited Goofy’s Kitchen during the brunch hours, and had both breakfast and dinner food options available to us. Dillon had a mix of both breakfast and dinner foods. He started with breakfast potatoes and bacon, and then moved into prime rib, chicken, and Alfredo ravioli. I stuck to the breakfast foods and had potatoes, a made-to-order omelet, bacon, and gluten free Mickey waffles (available upon request with your server). Our little Lincoln ate orange pancakes, Mickey waffles and scrambled eggs. There are truly so many foods to choose from, and if I wasn’t gluten-free I would’ve had a much harder time taking my pick!

The desserts were so much fun with tons of fall offerings! They had pastries, cookies, brownies, blondies, pies, puddings, ice cream… Dillon had the mini pumpkin pie, pumpkin blondie with ice cream, and a small pumpkin muffin. He decided if he was going to splurge, it was going to be on Halloween specialities! I had ice cream with a warm gluten free brownie (a gluten free cookie was the other option, also upon request with your server directly.)

Lincoln absolutely loved the characters, and they were so cute in their Halloween costumes! They always make sure to spend a good amount of time at your table, making each visit special and personal. They do not make you feel rushed, and they are so great with little ones of all ages. The restaurant had Halloween music playing, and the characters came around and did a little parade two different times while we were sitting there, on top of their regular rounds of stopping at each table. If you are dining at Goofy’s Kitchen, you WILL see characters! They make sure to make plenty of rounds during each dining experience time.

We very much enjoy Goofy’s Kitchen and definitely recommend it as one of our favorite experiences at the Disneyland Resort if you’re looking for quality, family-friendly dining! While it is a higher price point, you are getting what you pay for - an all-you-can-eat buffet with personal character experiences, perfect for families of all stages!
